Planet Passionate
At Treeopia, caring for the planet isn't something we do because it is fashionable; it is simply part of who we are.
Long before the treehouses were built, my husband John and I began a journey of restoring the land at Parsons Hall Farm.
What started as a love for nature gradually became a deep sense of responsibility to protect, nurture and improve the landscape for future generations.
We believe that true luxury and sustainability can exist side by side, for us, luxury is not about excess; it is about space, silence, clean water, dark skies, thriving wildlife and the opportunity to reconnect with nature.
Every decision we make is guided by a simple question: how can we leave this place a little better than we found it?

Over many years, we have restored historic lakes and waterways, improved habitats for wildlife and carefully managed the woodland to encourage biodiversity, wildflower banks are left to self-seed naturally, fallen timber is reused wherever possible, and we never use pesticides on the land. Watching wildlife return and flourish has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

Our commitment to the planet also influences how Treeopia operates day to day, solar energy powers John's workshop, where much of the handcrafted furniture and interiors are created, and now also supports the heating of our hot tubs. The workshop itself is heated using biomass energy, helping to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, our family farmhouse is heated by a ground source heat pump, harnessing natural energy from the earth beneath our feet.

We actively encourage responsible travel by providing EV charging facilities, and throughout the treehouses we use LED lighting, energy-efficient appliances and highly insulated construction to minimise energy consumption.
Water is one of our most precious resources. Treeopia benefits from its own natural spring water source, rich in minerals and drawn directly from the land.
We have also introduced natural flood management measures, including leaky dams and catch pools, helping to slow water flow, improve water quality and protect wildlife habitats throughout the farm.
We are equally mindful of the smaller choices. Eco-friendly toiletries, cleaning products, soaps and bubble baths are provided wherever possible, we avoid single-use plastics, offer freshly ground coffee instead of plastic coffee pods, compost green waste, recycle responsibly and repurpose fallen branches as firewood and wildlife habitats.

Supporting local businesses is another important part of our environmental journey. We work closely with local suppliers and producers, sourcing local cheeses, chocolates and artisan products for our guest hampers. We are also proud to offer our own farm-produced cider, apple juice and free-range eggs, reducing food miles while giving guests a genuine taste of the landscape around them.

For us, being passionate about the planet is about more than sustainability targets, it is about stewardship, gratitude and recognising that we are only temporary custodians of this beautiful place.
Our hope is that every guest leaves feeling not only rested and restored, but also inspired by the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting it.
Because when we care for the land, the land quietly cares for us in return.
